The armour had to be tailor made, since the garments were made of metal and other inflexible materials. It was essential that they fit as well as possible. It got studier over time. Originally knights armour was padded garments with chain mail. Technology progressed and plate armour and full plate armour entered the knights wardrobe. Full plate armour was complex and weighed around 50 pounds. It could deflect blows from most middle ages weapons. Full plate armour was introduced in the 15th century. The quality and impressiveness of the armour, was not only a life saver, but was also better armour was more important to knights. the suits of the armour was extremely expensive to produce. Any incorrect sizing of a knights would be extremely dangerous. The better the quality of the armour was more important to the knights than anyone. Plate armour was the first introduced during the late 13th century.
